Chances are, these were on the cover of House Beautiful, so don’t be shocked when the bargain basement price turns out to be a few thousand dollars! Check out second hand stores, flea markets and auctions, too. This is where you use all your negotiating skills to score the price you want to pay. Go prepared, though. You may need a truck or trailer to carry your new desk home. Also remember to bring plenty of cash - these people don’t always take credit cards.
